In 2004, Kundiman held its inaugural Retreat for Asian American poets — the first of its kind.

To pay homage to Kundiman’s roots in poetry, The Offing is publishing a poetry portfolio with Kundiman this May, which comprises original work from 20 Asian American poets. The poems in this folio are centered around the theme “Not One Without the Other,” and celebrate community, connection, and solidarity.
