We are proud to partner with PEN America to stage an Art Action Day public reading! Join us for a sundown reading on the steps of the New York Public Library on Saturday, January 20th at 5:30 PM. The works to be read will emphasize community and mutual aid, which serve as a remedy to the spread of xenophobia and hate.
The event features writers such as André Aciman, Tina Chang, Álvaro Enrigue, George Emilio Sanchez, and Anne Waldman. Excerpts from the work of Gloria Anzaldúa, James Baldwin, Joy Harjo, and others will also be read. We hope that you'll join us as we prepare to face a new year's challenges as a united community.
