Tough Love

Sarah Gambito & Joseph O. Legaspi

This class will discuss writing and making art in a time of pandemic anxiety and massive civil unrest. We will think about process, craft elements, language, dreams, desires, duende, and what they all might mean. Links to visual images, excerpted readings, music, et cetera will be posted in advance to stoke students’ imaginations in the hope that students will be inspired to try something new or inspired to take a fresh look at something they’ve written that continues to haunt them.

Tough Love welcomes BIPOC writers in all genres and will meet over Zoom on Saturday, August 8th, from 2:00 PM–4:00 PM ET. Scholarships are available. Check out the class page for more information on the class and how to register!
