Upcoming Kundiman Events:

Writing Grief: Somatic Rituals for Revision with Rona Luo

Saturday, MArch 25TH
3:00 PM–4:15 PM ET

As part of the Poetry Coalition programming on Poetry & Grief, Rona Luo will lead a workshop on writing through grief with somatic rituals for revision. This workshop treats the revision process as an embodied practice, and theorizes that what we need in our bodies can inform what we need in our poems. This is a revision-focused workshop and participants are asked to bring a physical copy of a poem in revision stage. We will explore a series of somatic exercises before making physical interventions on our poems, creating new openings and possibilities for our writing. This workshop welcomes both those working through grief and anyone interested in exploring embodied practices for revision.

This workshop is open to all writers of color, and will be held over Zoom. ASL interpretation will be provided by Pro Bono ASL and live captioning will be provided by SignNexus. This event is free of charge.
