The Sewanee Writers' Conference is offering one Kundiman fellowship to its annual program at The University of the South in Sewanee, TN from July 20–August 1, 2021. The fellowship will waive the $1800 cost to attend, which includes the price of room and board. Fellows are responsible only for their travel costs. The Kundiman fellowship is open to any Asian American writer who has a book in print by the time of the conference.
The conference offers workshops in fiction, poetry, playwriting, and nonfiction. There are also individual meetings with a faculty member, readings, lectures, and master classes.
Fellows must have books in print by the time of the Conference in order to apply and can’t have attended the Conference as a fellow before. Any writer interested in applying for a Kundiman fellowship should note it in the first sentence of their statement of interest.
