As part of the Brooklyn Book Festival and in collaboration with The Asian American Writers Workshop and Kaya Press, Kundiman brings Ed Lin in conversation with co-founder of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop Marie Myung-Ok Lee, author of Finding My Voice, to celebrate the release of Lin's YA debut David Tung Can’t Have A Girlfriend Until He Gets Into An Ivy League College.

Moderated by Ruth Minah Buchwald, Ed Lin and Marie Myung-Ok Lee’s conversation will touch on navigating young love and the confusing expectations of immigrant parents, as well as the complexities of writing coming-of-age stories in the Asian American diaspora and how to challenge the "model minority” myth.
