Every fictional world, once built, must be tested. Annesha Mitha will lead So You've Created a World starting on Tuesday, March 2nd from 7:00 PM–9:30 PM ET over Zoom! This fiction workshop will run for 8 weeks until April 20th. In the first half of the workshop, we will examine speculative short fiction, from high fantasy to almost-realism, and create our own lush, imaginative universes. The second half of this class will focus on putting these universes to the test. What kind of plot, character, and language challenges these worlds, even destroys them? Students will emerge with a complete draft of a speculative story or novel chapter.
This workshop is open to all writers of color.
This workshop is now full. Join the waitlist on the class page here and apply for a scholarship by Tuesday, February 16th.
