Poetry & the Body Workshop with Tamiko Beyer: What the Body Knows

As part of Kundiman’s participation in this year’s Poetry Coalition initiative, Where My Dreaming and My Loving Live: Poetry & the Body, Tamiko Beyer is thrilled to offer a free, two-hour generative workshop on this theme.

This workshop invites participants to use the breath and movement to tap into our body-knowledge. We’ll aim to write from a place that transcends the logic of language toward a liberatory poetics.

The workshop will be particularly focused on the lived, bodily experience of queerness and race. She encourages queer, trans folks, Black people, Indigenous people, and people of color to attend. It is appropriate for all levels of writing experience.

Because space is so limited, participants will be chosen by lottery. You will receive an email by 3/26 to let you know the status of your registration. I look forward to hearing from you!
