CantoMundo, Cave Canem and Kundiman are pleased to participate in a Focus Residency at Blue Mountain Center during November 2nd–8th, 2017.

Collectively, these three non-profit organizations have been instrumental in nurturing writers of color in the United States. Awards garnered by fellows include, among many others, the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the National Book Award, the Yale Series of Younger Poets award, the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, the Whiting Writers’ Award, the Poetry Society of America’s Norma Farber First Book Award, the NAACP Image Award, the Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets, the National Poetry Series Selection and Ruth Lilly and Lannan fellowships. Fellows have over 300 books in print. 

Our aim is to use the latest principles of Design Thinking to maximize collaboration and innovation across all three of our organizations to best serve the needs of writers of color in the 21st century.
