what have you learned about yourself? what have you learned about someone else? 

It has been one year since figure skating became no longer a part of my life. After going to boarding school, I sliced nearly all connections to the figure skating world, and any sentimentality for the ten years I dedicated to it. The oral history projected allowed for me to articulate how I ended skating with a strong sense of closure and how my clean and amicable end with the sport allowed me to view figure skating exclusively in a positive light. I am grateful for the role that figure skating played in my life, and the lessons I learned from being a competitive athlete are priceless.
