Regardless of genre, writing at the intersection of multiple identities creates specific challenges in terms of navigating not only one's relationship to the normative or mainstream, but mediating between rhetorics and experiences across communities. In this three-hour craft class, we'll take a look at some of the strategies intersectional writers have employed to express their ideas and aesthetics, as well as give ourselves time to work through some of these methods to figure out which of them can work for us.
Writing at the Intersection with Meredith Talusan will meet on Tuesday, October 5th from 6:00 PM–9:00 PM ET. This class will be recorded and sent out to all registered participants the following week.
This workshop is open to all writers of color. There is one scholarship spot available and the deadline to apply for the scholarship is Tuesday, September 14th. See the class page for more information.
