How can Asian American writers build a stronger network? What does it mean to be a writer of color in these times? This third annual Asian American Caucus is a town hall-style hang out and community space. Come meet other Asian American writers and discuss fellowships, publication opportunities, and resources available to support you. Organized by the Asian American Writers' Workshop, Kaya, Kundiman, the Asian American Literary Review, Kearny Street, Hyphen, and Smithsonian’s APAC.

Featuring: Neelanjana Banerjee, Cathy Linh Che, Dr. Lawrence-Minh Bùi Davis, and Jyothi Natarajan.

March 10: New Intimacies: A Reading and Conversation with Min Jin Lee and Sigrid Nunez

Kundiman presents two novelists whose stories bring us into the fraught, shifting lives of family and friends, whose settings span continents and generations, and whose characters show the tenuous nature of identity in diaspora.

Min Jin Lee’s Pachinko is a national bestseller, a New York Times Editor’s Choice and an Indie Next Great Reads. Lee’s debut novel Free Food for Millionaires was a national bestseller, a New York Times Editor’s Choice, and a Top 10 Novels of the Year for The Times (London), NPR’s Fresh Air, and USA Today.

Sigrid Nunez has published six novels, including A Feather on the Breath of GodThe Last of Her Kind, and Salvation City. Her seventh novel, The Friend, if forthcoming. Nunez is also the author of Sempre Susan: A Memoir of Susan Sontag.
